He may be Middle Class Abbayi, but when it comes to collections hero Nani seems to be ‘High Class.’’ Released on Thursday, Dil Raju-Nani film MCA has emerged as the highest first day grosser in Nani’s career. Trade sources revealed that the film has grossed Rs 15 crore worldwide on the opening day.In the Telugu states, the MCA collected a whopping Rs 11 crore and in Australia alone, the film collected Rs 15. 47 lakh on Day 1, according to Bollywood market analyst Taran Adarsh. Though the film opened to mixed reviews, the opening collections were very good. Trade pundits say that the film had 70 per cent occupancy in both the Telugu states on the opening day. If the same trend continues, MCA could end up as the highest grosser in Nani’s career. The film had heartthrob Sai Pallavi playing the female lead. Bhumika, Amani and Rajiv Kanakala played key roles in this romantic family entertainer. Venu Sriram is the director while DSP scored the music for the film.
