Chandigarh: Another Aam Admi Party (AAP) leader was held on Tuesday this time in Punjab, on charges of sexually assulting a Dalit minor girl.
The arrested leader, Hardeep Singh, is the AAP student leader. Though an FIR was registered about five days, the arrest was made on Tuesday in
Singrur district of Punjab. According to the complaint lodged by the victim, she visited Hardeep’s photo studio to get her photographs when she was
assaulted. Meanwhile, the student leader had alleged that the whole incident is a political conspiracy by his rivals to tarnish his image.

The latest incident is among a series of charges against AAP members in the recent past. Delhi minister Sandeep Kumar was embroiled in a sex scandal and lost his job besides party membership. Similar was the fate of AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan and another leader Dev Mann.
