The Nandyal police caught hold of a gang of six inter-state robbers, who, initially were doubted to be SIMI activists.Tirupati police ended up in a wild goose chase to arrest the six of them they doubted to be SIMI allies. YSR Cuddapa  police were passed on the information of their escape, but the Gang escaped their vigil too at the nick of the moment. 
 
The Nandayal police succeeded in taking them into custody.There was a huge anxiety about the issue in accordance with the recent Nalgonda firing where two of the SIMI activists were killed. But all of it subsided once the identity of the Accused gang was revealed to be just inter-state robbers. They are now being investigated in the Bandi- Atmakur Police station. They are known to have committed thefts in Nellore, YSR Cuddapa and chittor districts
