9th Class Girl Pushed Off From School Building For Not Performing “Cleaning Duties”

Lahore (Pakistan): In a shocking incident, a school girl was allegedly pushed off from the top floor of the school building by her teachers for not performing "cleaning duties".

The incident occurred at City District Government Girls High School at Shahdara near Factory Area of Lahore city in Pakistan.

The victim has been identified as Fajar Noor, daughter of Muhammad Akbar, a class 9 student. According to the police, students of every classroom are supposed to clean their classrooms on a daily basis. It was Noor's turn to clean classroom on May 23 (Tuesday). However, she appealed to the teachers to exempt her from the duty since she was unwell.

However, the teachers refused to listen to her pleas and insisted on completing her duty. As she failed to do her duty, Noor was taken to the top floor of the school building and pushed from there as part of the punishment. Noor sustained severe head injuries and was admitted to area hospital.

According to the medical report, Noor underwent three major surgeries. Doctors said that she is out of danger. A case has been registered against the teachers and they were suspended.
