8,792 Teachers, 11,428 Vidya Volunteers To Be Recruited In Telangana  

Hyderabad: The state government is gearing up to recruit thousands of Vidya volunteers and teachers by the start of this academic year. Deputy CM Kadiyam Srihari announced on Tuesday that the government will soon release a notification for the recruitment of 11,428 Vidya volunteers and 8,792 teachers to fill the vacancies in various schools across the state.

The examination will be conducted by Telangana Public Service Commission (TSPSC) and will soon release an official notification. He also gave his nod for the hike in salary of the Vidya volunteers from Rs8,000 to Rs12,000.

Addressing the conference, the deputy chief minister also announced 1,551 vacancies in 11 universities across the state and and 1,061 of them would be filled in the first phase.
