812 employees want to go to AP
812 Andhra Pradesh employees working in Telangana want to work in their own state. They took the decision after the Andhra Pradesh hiked the retirement age from 58 to 60 years for their employees.
All these employees have applied to their respective departmental heads requesting them to send them to Andhra Pradesh. These applications were forwarded to Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma by the heads.
All of them have to retire by the end of June or July and the present request is taken by them after the hike of retirement age.
On the other hand, the Telangana government is of the opinion that it is meaningless to keep them in Telangana once they requested them to send to Andhra Pradesh.
State cadre employees do not come under the purview of Kamalanathan Committee. With this, Chief Secretary will have to put these applications fresh before the committee.
We have to wait and see which decision the committee takes on the matter ultimately.
