8 farmers hurt in leopard attack

Eight farmers were seriously injured when a leopard attacked them at Julapalem in Vajrakarooru mandal of Anantapur district on Tuesday.

They were shifted to Guntakal government hospital and their condition was said to be critical. On information that the leopard was wandering in the vicinity of their village, two persons made an attempt to capture it and injured in the attack. Six more injured when they had encountered the leopard. Nagaraju, Pulikonda, Bodenna, Balanjaneyulu, Jayappa, Somara Goud and Jay were among the injured.
