79,000 candidates applied for Edcet-2013
As many as 79,244 candidates have applied for Edcet-2013 for admissions into the B.Ed courses across the state.
Prof Nimma Venkata Rao, convenor of Ed-cet-2013 said in Visakhapatnam that the last date for applying for the test was April 22 and he appealed to the candidates to send their applications through online.
Applications would be allowed up to April 30 with a fine of Rs 500. Edcet committee chairman and Andhra University Vice-Chancellor GSN Raju said candidates from neighbouring states also applied this year owing to online facility. About 168 applications have been received from other states including 117 from Odisha. He said applications could forward through the websites: www.edcet2013.info and www.apedcet.org.
