Hyderabad: Police on Saturday booked a 76-year- old man for allegedly harassing a 25-year-old woman.

The case was filed by a She Team (anti-eve-teasing squad) of Rachakonda Police Commissionarate. On May 18, the woman, an MBA graduate, and her grandfather went to a temple where the latter fell ill. The accused, Vinod Dewan, offered help and dropped the duo at their home in his car, it said.

Dewan took her phone number and asked her to come for a "long drive" with him which she refused, the release said. The elderly man continued to call the woman on her mobile, which prompted the victim to lodge a police complaint, it added.
The incident came in light when the victim approached the police through its WhatsApp control room number 9490617111.
