70 YSRCP activists arrested in Ananthapur - Sakshi Post

Ananthapur: Following YSRCP key leader's murder in Ananthapur, police have raided the houses of YSRCP supports and activists and arrested 70 people so far.

Prasad Reddy was hacked to death with sickles in a government office recently in Raptadu. After TDP came in power, many leaders of YSRCPwere attacked and killed in various parts on AP. Agitating on the barbarous act, YSRCP activists protested in Ananthapur.

In dealing with the incident, government sent the concerned police of Raphtadu to VR. Angered by the governments move, TDP's Minister and Raphtadu MLA ParitalaSunitha ordered that she need no security. Police have tried to convince her, after which they suddenly raided houses of YSRCP supporters and arrested them.

Prasad Reddy's brother alleged that ParitalaSunitha is behind the murder and demanded impartial probe. But the local police have tagged the killing as revenge murder by unknown.
