7-Year-Old Girl Raped And Killed On Birthday

Bhupalapally: A 7-year-old girl was found dead after she went missing in Gori Kothapally village in Jayashankar Bhupalapally district on Monday. It was Reshma's birthday on Monday and she along with parents Raju and Pravallika went to Parkal to buy new clothes and a cake on Sunday. In the evening, as there was a community program in the village, the girl went out with her father to see it but she went missing in the crowd.
After searching through the village, her father lodged a complaint with the police at midnight. The police launched a search for the girl on Monday morning but to no avail. Finally, a villagers found the body of Reshma on the outskirts of the village and informed the police.
It was not confirmed by the police if she was raped before being killed. A detailed post-mortem report is awaited.
