7 Housewives Arrested for Playing Cards in Chaitanyapuri

Hyderabad: For the second time, the Special Operations Team (SOT) police on Wednesday arrested seven women playing cards at a residential flat in Green Hills Colony in Kothapet area under Chaitanyapuri police limits.Half a dozen women were booked for a similar offence two months back in the same locality.

The police swooped on a flat in an apartment in the colony and caught the women with all the props of a playing card game. All the accused are said to belong to well-to-do families within the colony. However, the ownership of the flat is not ascertained. Police recovered Rs24,740 from the women and handed over them to Chaitanyapuri police for further investigation.
