6 Of Family Commit Suicide By Jumping Into Canal 

Khammam: Six persons of a family including two children committed suicide by jumping into a canal at Paleru in Khammam district in the early hours on Wednesday.

Shaik Pentoo Saheb(50), his wife Shaik Mahabub Bee(45), their son Shaik Saleem(32), his wife Razia(28) and their children Shahnaz(8) and Nasreena(4) of Jeella Cheruvu village jumped into the reservoir linked to the Paleru thermal power station in a family suicide pact.

Another person of the family one Shaik Laloo who was also included in the suicide pact got frightened in the last minute and ran into the village to inform people. Villagers rushed to the canal and swimmers fished out all the bodies in the presence of the police. SI Raghu initiated investigation. The reason for the extreme step by all family members is suspected to be financial problems. Entire village plunged into gloom following the tragedy.
