5 students meet watery grave in Krishna
In a tragic incident, nine students who ventured into Krishna river for swimming went missing after they were swept away by the waters.
The incident occurred in Chinmuru village of Ponnuru mandal in Guntur district. Expert swimmers managed to fish out five bodies so far. Search is on to retrieve others.
The bodies were identified as Mahesh, Utla Eswar, Ganesh, Sai Vamshi and Rupesh. They were all students of a school in Tenali. Further details are awaited.
