The students were taken to a government hospital in Sirpur town

Asifabad: In a case of food poisoning 48 students of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalay at Kautala mandal in Asifabad landed in hospital on Monday. The students soon after having their breakfast complained of acute stomach pain and nausea. The students were moved to a government hospital in Sirpur town.

The hospital staff attributed food posing as the reason for student being taken ill. The students told the staff that they are being served leftover food often and despite informing to the management it has been neglected. The DEO has asked for an inquiry over the incident, while collector Champalal has instructed to take necessary action against the staff who are responsible for the incident.
