4 youths arrested for attempting to join Army with forged appointment letters
Hyderabad: Golconda police arrested four youths when they were trying to join Army with forged documents at Golconda Artillery Centre in Hyderabad on Thursday. A hunt is on to nab the two absconding prime accused who issued the forged documents.
Local officers received orders from the Central Army Recruitment office about the selection of 12 army personnel selected in the recruitment at Golconda Artillery Centre at Mehdipatnam on Monday. However, at the time of scrutiny of the joining procedure, Lt. Colonel Rajesh Warke found that four extra candidates were present instead of 12 persons. When the officers checked the joining report letters of all the 16 persons, four of them were found with the forgery of national emblem and the signature of the competent authority. Later the officers recognised the fake candidates and informed Golconda police about the forgery.
Police arrested Gulshan Kumar (19) from Himachal Pradesh, MD Nasar Ahmed (21) from Bihar, Akshay Meha (20) from New Delhi Farveen (20) from Haryana. During the inquiry, it is known that the forged documents were issued to them by Resham Singh and Pawan Singh who belong to New Delhi by charging Rs.5 lakh each. Police said the efforts are on to apprehend the two prime accused who are still at large. The investigation into the matter was being carried out deeply to bust the racket of fake documents, Sub-Inspector of Goconda police station Gouse Moinuddin said.
