4 Pastors arrested for cheating farmers

Husnabad (Karimnagar): Husnabad police arrested four Christian pastors here on Saturday for cheating farmers by extorting money from them by promising to supply agricultural equipment.

Sub Inspector Dasari Bhumaiah said the four churchmen collected Rs. 60 lakh from the farmers of Karimnagar, Warangal and Medak districts by promising them electric motors, borewells and other agricultural equipment at cheap rates. The accused were Kathula Murali, Boini Jagathpal, Jeripothula Bharath and Chityala Malaki, the SI said.
