4 Nigerian Drug Peddlers Booked Under PD Act 

The accused have  been sent to Chanchalguda jail - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Four Nigerians were arrested on charges of drug peddling and the police filed cases under Preventive Detention (PD) Act as the offences were of serious nature. They have been sent to Chanchalguda jail on Monday.

The accused - Uzor Promise Chukuwudi, Ezeh Christian Chuku David, Obiora Chukwuemeka Peter and Ugochukwu Solomon Ubabuko were frequently visiting Goa and bought cocaine for Rs 2,800 per gram and used to sell it in the city for Rs 5,000 and above depending on the demand.

Task Force DCP B. Limba Reddy said, “The drug peddling in city is putting the lives of youth and innocent people in risk.”

Meanwhile, in order to maintain public order and infuse a sense of safety and security among citizens the provisions of the Telangana Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Boot-Leggers, Dacoits, Drug-Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders and Land-Grabbers Act 1986 has been invoked.
