4 arrested in Estar Anuhya murder case - Sakshi Post

Police caught four people in techie Estar Anuhya's murder case in Mumbai on Saturday. According to reports, the four accused are auto drivers in Mumbai. Police have taken them in custody and have started their interrogations.

Estar, a TCS employee, was visiting Machlipatnam for Christmas, and was to return to Mumbai on January 4 in Vishakapatnam- Mumbai LTT express train. On the day of her departure she spoke to her father Prasad, and during the call she told him that she will call him back at 10 pm, and suddenly the line went dead.

Her father didn't get any call from her. He tried calling her back but there was no response. He tried contacting her friends at the hostel in Andheri where she was staying, but got no information. Finally, Prasad lodged a missing complaint with the Vijayawada police.

After 11 days of investigations, the relatives found a dead body, partially burnt in Kanjumargh, and Prasad was called to identify the body. He recognized his daughter with the help of a ring on the finger.

As per reports, police said that Anuhya was probably raped and then murdered. The police have added that they will investigate the case further and more clues will come to light after postmortem. The police also went through her call records, and found out that the last call from Anuhya's cell was to her friend, Hemant.
