3-Year-Old Boy Drowns In Sump While Playing

Hyderabad: A three-year-old boy drowned after he accidentally fell into an underground sump while playing at LB Nagar on Monday.

B. Varshith was living with his parents Nagaraju and Vani of Nalgonda district at Gunti Jangaiah Nagar colony under LB Nagar police limits. On Monday, when Nagaraju went out for some work and Vani was busy in household chores, the kid was playing outside the house.

After finishing work when Vani searched for the boy she could not find him. She immediately informed her husband and with the help of neighbors started searching for the child. Meanwhile, a neighbor came to the sump to collect water and when he lowered a bucket into the sump he found the boy's body floating on the water.

They pulled out the boy and shifted him to a hospital where he was declared brought dead.
