3 teams to nab Nityananda's attacker
The Hyderabad police on Wednesday formed three special teams to nab the accused who fired at Aurobindo Pharma vice-president Nityananda Reddy's car near the KBR park in Hyderabad.
Investigation into the case has moved a step further with the police examining the CCTV footage. The police are scrutinising CCTV footage, which shows the accused wore a track suit and a white tea-shirt. The police started tracking the cell phone towers to identify the location of the culprit.
On Wednesday morning as Nityananda Reddy was getting into his Audi, the assailant managed to heave himself into the car and pointed his AK 47 to him. But alert Nityananda Reddy and his brother Prasad Reddy surprised the assailant with their presence of mind and quick response. The assailant fled leaving his weapon behind. The AK 47 was reported missing last year. A case was registered with Narsingi police in connection with the missing weapon.
