3 SIMI activists arrested in Samarlakota - Sakshi Post

Three activists of outlawed Student Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) were picked up at Samarlakota in East Godavari district in connection with the Dilshuknagar twin blast case.

They were being brought to Hyderabad for grilling. However, there was no confirmation yet from the police.

It may be mentioned that after the Centre banned the SIMI in 2001 soon after the 9/11 attacks, the Indian Mujahideen came into existence.

Meanwhile, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) allowed the local police to clear the debris from the Dilshuknagar blast sites. The damaged vehicles and other materials were removed from both the blast sites on Monday.
