3 More Expressways around Amaravati
Amaravati: The Andhra Pradesh state's new capital city Amaravati is to be surounded with four expressways in total. Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA), which was initially planning to design a detailed projecrt report for only one expressway around the city from Manipal Hospital to Harischandrapuram, has prepared plans for 3 more new expressways around the capital city.
According to the CRDA's new plan, one expressway is from NRI Hospital at Mangalagiri Y-junction of Guntur district range to Ananthavaram, the second from Venkatapalem to NRI Hospital and the third one is from Jupudi of Krishna district to Ananthavaram via Borupalem.
The Expressway which starts from Manipal Hospital via Lotus Food City, Undavalli Harischandra Temple to Harischandrapuram will be split into two as expressway and auxiliary road at Iskcon temple. All the main roads will be widened to 165 feet and expressways upto 200 feet. Accordingly CRDA is palnning to release a blueprint of the roads on november 23.
Villages in the way of expressways to be evacuated?
To proceed according to the plan to build the new capital city, it is heard from offcials that the villages in the way of expressways will be evacuated at any cost. However, Muncipal Minister Narayana was campaigning that the villages coming into the way of newly intended thoroughfares would not be evacuated. However, CRDA has not confirmed it officially.
