3 Killed Over Land Dispute

Land dispute lead to the death of three persons in Nellore district on Friday. According to the police, the incident occurred in Papanamusilipalem village of Kaligiri mandal.

Tanam Subba Reddy, Tanam Mahender Reddy and Kondreddy Subba Reddy wanted to purchase a swathe of land in the village. They came to the village on Friday to see the land. However, Srinivasulu Reddy, Ganesham and Venkateswarlu tried to stop them saying that they were cultivating the land. This led to a heated war of words and Reddy, Ganesham and Venkateswarlu threw chilli powder in the eys of the prospective buyers and attacked them. Due to the fatal injuries, Tanam Subba Reddy, Tanam Mahender Reddy and Kondreddy Subba Reddy died on the spot.

After the incident, Srinivasulu Reddy, Ganesham and Venkateswarlu went to the police station and surrendered. The police rushed to the spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem.
