26 GOs: SC gives ultimatum to file counters

The Supreme Court has issued a deadline to ministers and IAS officers involved in the controversial 26 GOs case. The Apex Court on Tuesday ordered that the counter petitions must be filed before December 3.

Till now, only IAS officer Ratna Prabha has filed a counter petition. Advocate Sudhakar Reddy has told the Apex Court that he would personally handover the notices related to the court's instructions to the respective people. The court has agreed to his request.
It is known that the Nellore-based lawyer had sought the permission of Supreme Court to question the ministers involved in the 26 GOs case. The Supreme Court had also issued notices to six ministers to that effect. The ministers who received the court notice include—Sabitha Indra Reddy, Geeta Reddy, Dharmana Prasada Rao, Ponnala Lakshmaiah and former minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana.
