25 MANUU Students Debarred From Hostel Over Indiscipline 

The students were served show cause notices in June as part of university’s disciplinary action - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Twenty five students of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) have been debarred from taking hostel admissions till they finish their course on grounds of disciplinary action.

On May 13 and 14 students staged protest after the university asked them to vacate the hostel rooms after the end of a semester. The university officials said that if it is not done then locks would be broken and belonging will be cleared which triggered to protest.

Students allege that they have been targetted. Meanwhile, MANUU proctor Prof. Mohammed Abdul Azeem said that action is being taken on disciplinary grounds.

"The 25 students closed that main gate one night making the staff members to stay back till 3am the next day and this has been recorded on camera," said Azeem.

Proctor further said that students can be debarred from the university but they are being lenient keeping their careers in view.

The students were served show cause notices in June as part of university’s disciplinary action and seven of them have been asked to pay penalty of Rs 5,000.
