21 Youths Booked For Raising Pro-Pakistan Slogans
Patna: As many as 21 youths were booked on charges of sedition after they raised pro-Pakistan slogans during a Muharram procession near Bettiah, 200 kms from Patna on Sunday. The police also took three persons into their custody and filed an FIR.
The youths, who came to take part in the procession, were clad in green colour T-shirts, with ‘Pakistan’ and ‘PCB’ (Pakistan Cricket Board) printed on them. All the youths were armed with lathis. The procession was taken out from Pipra Katharia village to Yogapatti, which is three kms away.
The police are on the lookout for Nazir, Aftab, Sarfaraz, Salman, Azhar, Gauhar, Aujekh, Imran, Salahuddin, who were among 21 others involved in the crime. The police raided some houses of the accused and recovered T-shirts similar to that of jerseys worn by Pakistani cricketers.
