2014 polls a big challenge: Kishan Reddy
Andhra Pradesh BJP president G Kishan Reddy said in Hyderabad on Monday that gearing up the party for the 2014 general and assembly elections would be the main challenge before him.
Speaking after being felicitated for his renomination to the post of state party chief, Kishan Reddy said he would work with other senior party leaders to take the BJP on the path of growth. Reddy represents Amberpet assembly constituency in Hyderabad in the Legislative Assembly.
The party has two other MLAs. BJP President Rajnath Singh on Sunday appointed Kishan Reddy as president of Andhra Pradesh unit of the party. Reddy had replaced Bandaru Dattatreya as president of the Andhra Pradesh unit of BJP in 2010. Kishan Reddy has been a former national president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha.
He was first elected from Himayatnagar constituency in 2004 and got re-elected in 2009 from Amberpet assembly seat. Andhra Pradesh goes to polls in June 2014 to elect its 294-member state assembly.
