Roads in Andhra Pradesh today shed blood as at least 20 persons died in four different accidents in various parts of the State, including Hyderabad city, and at least 20 sustained grievous injuries.

According to reports reaching Hyderabad this evening at least six persons died on the spot and seven were injured when the tractor in which they were travelling turned turtle near Uppidipalli of Madakasira mandal in Ananthapur district. All the victims belong to Venkatapuram in the neighbouring Karnataka State and the accident took place when they were on their way back home from a temple in Garimi in Madakasira mandal.
In another such accident near Kambalapadu of Podili mandal in Prakasam district four persons died instantaneously and four sustained injuries, two of them seriously, when their auto dashed against an RTC bus coming in the opposite direction. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital where the condition of two of them is stated to be critical.
In a third accident, four persons died and two suffered grievous injuries when a car rammed into an oncoming truck near Narayanpur of Ungutur mandal in West Godavari district. The deceased were traveling by the car while the injured were in the truck. The injured were shifted to a nearby private hospital, police said.
In a major accident in Hyderabad city, four persons died, two of them on the spot, when the mini van in which they were travelling tuned upside down on Road No 1 in the posh Banjara Hills area of the city early this morning.

The deceased were identified as farmers belonging to Pulapalli village of Nawabpet mandal in Ranga Reddy district.
Two persons died on the spot while two others succumbed to their injuries at Gandhi hospital where they were shifted immediately after the accident, police said.
