2 Teenagers Gang Raped In Front Of Male Friends, 4 Held

New Delhi: Two girls, aged 17 and 18 have been gang raped by five youths in front of their male friends in outer Delhi’s Aman Vihar area. The incident took place near Mundka metro station on Wednesday evening at 8.30pm.

A senior police officer said that the girls were chatting with their male friends in a park when the accused arrived and misbehaved. When their male friends objected to it the accused assaulted them

Four youths have been arrested and search is on for the fifth accused. “Their identities cannot be disclosed at this point as their age is being verified,” said DCP (outer) Vikramjit Singh on Thursday.

A senior police officer said that the girls were chatting with their male friends in a park when the accused arrived and misbehaved. When their male friends objected to it the accused assaulted them, official added.

“Then they took turns to rape the two girls and threatened them of dire consequences if they reported the matter to police,” said the police official.

A case has been registered under sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 376 (punishment for rape) IPC and relevant sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO).
