2 States Telugu Remake Muhurat Date Locked

Bollywood movie 2 States which featured Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in lead roles is being remade in Telugu by director Venkat Reddy. The movie stars Adivi Sesh in the lead role. Actor Rajashekar's elder daughter Shivani, who is pursuing her MBBS is playing the female lead. This movie will mark her film debut. The untitled movie will go on floors on March 24.

After being inspired by Chetan Bhagat’s 2 States novel, Abhishek Verman directed the film. The movie, which was released in 2014 garnered huge collections at the box office. The romantic drama showcases the love story between a Tamil girl and a Punjabi boy.

Adivi Sesh will be stepping into the shoes of Arjun Kapoor while Shivani is essaying the role of Alia Bhatt.

Telugu director Venkat Reddy, who had earlier worked with director VV Vinayak has roped in actor Adivi Sesh, who has showcased his talent in movies like Bahubali 2: The Conclusion, Goodachari, Dongata and the suspense thriller Kshana Kshanam.

Shivani’s parents Rajasekhar and Jeevitha, who are waiting to launch their daughter felt this movie was perfect for her debut when the director narrated the script to Shivani. Shivani, who is proficient in Bharatnatyam and Kuchipudi has also given her nod to the film.

The movie is produced by MLV Satyanarayana under the banner of Lakshya Productions. The music for the film is composed by Anup Rubens. The director is remaking the film by making a few changes to make it palatable to the Telugu audience and sensibilities. The title is yet to be locked.
