2 Men Held For Fake Police Clearance Certificate Consultancy

Hyderabad: Two persons were arrested on Thursday for duping a man by promising to issue a Police Clearance Certificate in the city.

According to the police, the victim Narasinga Rao approached an Internet site for police clearance agents. He found Priyanka consultants in Lingampally on Justdial site and contacted them. The accused identified as Methari Praneeth and Thakur Krishna asked Rao to send his ID proof to bkhero2037@gmail.com. They also asked him to transfer Rs4,000 into their bank account. Believing them, the victim had transferred the money to their account. As the money got transferred, the accused stopped answering the calls.

The victim searched for the Priyanka Consultants and it showed all negative reviews. He then approached Cyber Crime police and lodged a complaint against the consultancy. The police arrested the accused and recovered sim cards and debit cards from them.
