2 Hyderabad techies use FB to peddle drugs

Hyderabad: Two Hyderabadi techies were arrested for selling drugs using social networking platform Facebook. The police, who tracked them down, arrested them.

Sri Hari (23) hailing from Nizamabad and K. Arjun (28) hailing from Ongole, were both software professionals and have became friends in Hyderabad. They began taking drugs while they were together in Hyderabad and turned to drug-peddling after they moved to Bangalore.
To sell the drugs, Sri Hari created a Facebook page 'Bangalore Deed Spookees' which has 3,814 likes. They began selling through the FB page.
The Central Crime Branch (CCB) received a tip-off about this and began tracking them. They used a decoy to trap the duo. A CCB personnel called them up asking for the substance. When Srihari came to hand over the drugs at Kadugodi, the police swooped on him and arrested him.
Later, Arjun was also arrested. Investigations are on to delve deep into the drug network.
