2 cops, Discom official in ACB net
The Anti-Corruption Bureau sleuths arrested two police officials and assistant accounts officer of Electricity Central Discom were arrested by while taking bribe in two separate instances.
C Balasubramaniyam, who works at APCPDCL's Banaganapally office (in Kurnool district), was caught red-handed while accepting Rs 27,000 from a contractor for processing salary bills of security guards, an ACB release here said.
In the other case, B Nagarjuna, Sub-Inspector of Police attached to Brahmamgari Matham police station, YSR Kadapa district, was caught by the ACB officials while accepting Rs 5,000 through head-constable V Srinivasulu from a person for closing an FIR pertaining to a missing girl case.
