18 died, 30 injured in GAIL pipeline tragedy

The persons injured in the GAIL pipeline blast, have been shifted to the Konaseema Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) at Amalapuram in East Godavari district .

A majority of the injured persons have suffered 90 percent burns. Some of them are being shifted to Kakinada Government Hospital for better treatment. Among the injured are four children.

The list of those injured is as follows:

1.Md.Tafi, 2. Tatikayala Rajyalakshmi, 3.O.Durga Devi, 4. O.Venkataratnam, 5.R.Suryanarayana, 6. B.Peddiraju, 7. B.Ratnakumari, 8.Pallalamma, 9.O.Madhusudhan, 10.Mohan Krishna, 11.Jyothsna Devi and 12.K.Chinna.

Two persons - Balaji and Gopireddy - died while undergoing treatment at a hospital. So far 18 persons died and 30 were injured in the incident.
