Bhadrachalam: The whereabouts of 17-year-old Divya were unknown even 15 days after her family complained about her missing on September 29 in Bhadrachalam town.

Divya was allegedly kidnapped from her home by the family members of her friend Durga Bhavani. Durga was married recently and her family asked Divya to stay away from her. She was beaten up by her friend's parents and siblings when she tried to meet Durga after her marriage. Divya slipped into depression after the incident.

On September 29, as Divya was sitting in the front yard of their house along with her elder sister, she suddenly disappeared. After searching for her everywhere, her mother lodged a complaint, but the police could not trace her even after two weeks.

The police said a kidnap case was registered and a search is going on to trace the girl. No arrests were made yet though it was a kidnap case.
