15 Killed After Lorry Rams Into Autos, Tempo In Karnataka

Bengaluru: 15 people were killed and 20 others sustained critical injuries after a lorry rammed into two autos and a tempo near Ramapur village of Chitradurga district on Saturday.
The accident comes close on the heels of another road accident that occurred on Thursday in the same district wherein four people lost their lives. Police said that the driver lost control of the lorry after a tyre burst. The victims killed in the mishap included eight men and seven women, all hailing from Kalaburagi district in north Karnataka. The injured have been hospitalised in Ballari.
The death toll is likely to rise as several of the injured are in a critical condition, police said.
