11 Naxals killed in encounter Raipur


11 Naxals were killed in an encounter with security forces in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district on Tuesday.

On a tip off about the presence of Naxals in the forest area of Puarti village, a search was launched by Greyhounds force of Andhra Pradesh and district force early this morning, Sukma SP Abishek Shandilya said.

On spotting the security forces, Naxals opened fire and in the retaliatory action, 11 rebels were killed, he said, adding some arms were also recovered from the encounter spot. Six bodies of Naxals have been recovered so far.
