Yadadri: The annual brahmotsavams of Sri Laksmi Narasimha Swamy temple began on Monday on Yadadri hill shrine.

The 11-day festivity started off by performing Adi Puja marking its commencement. Temple executive officer Geetha, Saraswathi upasak Dyvagna Sharma were among others who attended the programme.

The temple town has been decorated with colorful lights and flowers to make the 11-day event a grand affair. The authorities have made required arrangements for the convenience of the devotees.

The celestial wedding will take place on March 6 at 10pm and on the same day chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao would present pattu clothes to the deity.

Amid celebratory preparation protest was held in front of executive officer’s office. The protestors said that names of mandal praishad president Swapna and Yadagirigutta sarpanch Swamy were missing from the invitation card of Brahmotsavams.

To this executive officer Geetha said that names have been published as per the direction given by Commissioner of Endowment.
