1 killed, 2 injured in house robbery in Nellore

Nellore: In a ghastly incident, thieves slit throats of three persons, who tried to prevent them from robbing a house on Saturday morning in the town. One died on the spot and two were severely injured in the incident.

Thieves intruded in Auditor Nageshwara Rao’s house and looted cash and jewellery. The thieves brutally beaten the Rao’s family members. Rao’s wife died in the attack, while his son and daughter were injured. Hearing upon the screams from the house, neighbors rushed to the spot and managed to catch hold of one thief, while remaining two thieves escaped from the place of incident.

The thief was handed over to the Police, who suspect the thieves are from Kovuru area. Thieves did recce for four days, according to the Police.
