1.49 kg Gold looted from Duranto Express passenger

A passenger travelling by Duronto Express train was relieved of 1.49 kgs gold on Friday.

 The theft took place somewhere near Vijayawada.
According to reports, Nagaseshu Venu (50) noticed that her bag containing gold missing. She realised this only after the train reached Warangal station. She immediately informed to TTE and lodged a complaint with the Government railway police after train reached Secunderbad.
Police suspect that the theft might have happened near the Vijayawada railway station as that is the only halt between Visakhapatnam, where she boarded the train. The train was on its way to Secunderabad from Visakhapatnam.
