Hyderabad: Following the mysterious incident of firing at Congress leader Mukesh Goud's son Moola Vikram Goud in the upscale Banjara Hills area on Friday, the victim's wife Shipali scotched the rumours doing rounds about the incident.

Some of the media reports claimed that the incident was a staged one since Vikram Goud was in neck-deep debts. In order to gain some sympathy, the victim might have staged the incident, they claimed.

In the wee hours of Friday, Vikram Goud was allegedly shot at by unidentified persons at his residence when he was about to leave for a temple along with his family. Shipali heard loud screams and rushed to the scene only to find Vikram in a pool of blood. He was immediately rushed to hospital.

The police officials could not secure any details from Vikram Goud regarding the assailants. No one at his residence saw the assailants. Nor was there any security personnel at the house. The police did not even find any clue from the CCTV cameras installed in the street.

Shipali appealed to the media not to spread false news about the incident. She said that she has complete faith in the Hyderabad police and the case would be cracked soon.
