Chamundeshwarinath Gifts BMW To Mithali Raj 

Hyderabad: Former Ranji cricketer and vice-president of Hyderabad Badminton Association Chamudeswarinath announced a BMW car to the Indian women cricket captain Mithali Raj for her outstanding performance in ICC cricket women's world cup 2017.

Chamundeswaranath had earlier gifted a Chevrolet car to Mithali way back in 2007. But after her star-like performance at the World Cup, the former Ranji cricketer said that the Indian skipper deserves a much bigger car for the way she has led the Indian team.

"Mithali has been a great influence on Indian cricket. The way she has led the side is remarkable. For a number of years she has been the leading light of the Indian women's cricket," he said. "Our girls are performing quite well. We need to encourage women's cricket in a big way. I think with their brilliant show in England they have brought a lot of attention to the women's game. More girls will be inspired to take up cricket now," he added.

Earlier, Chamundeswarinath had gifted cars to the Badminton players Saina Nehwal and Parupalli Kashyap.
