KK Gives Shock To KCR, Set To Quit BRS

 - Sakshi Post

K. Keshava Rao, the secretary general of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) party, met with A. Revanth Reddy, the Chief Minister and President of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), on Friday. During the meeting, they discussed Keshava Rao's plans to formally join the Congress party.

Keshava Rao arrived at the meeting accompanied by Deepa Das Munshi, the All India Congress Committee (AICC) in charge of Telangana, and other senior TPCC leaders. Revanth Reddy warmly received Keshava Rao, and the two leaders, along with other party members, engaged in discussions about Keshava Rao's move to the Congress party.

Before the meeting, Keshava Rao had informed K. Chandrashekar Rao, the BRS president, about his decision to leave the party. Although the BRS has not released an official statement regarding this development, reports suggest that Chandrashekar Rao did not react favourably to Keshava Rao's plans to return to the Congress party after the BRS had treated him with respect and deference.

"I met KCR yesterday. He told me not to quit the party. I feel the pilgrimage is over. I'll join my own party now and stay with it forever. KCR said to Sonia Gandhi that he'd merge TRS with Congress, but he didn't do it," KK said to the media.

In addition to Keshava Rao, his daughter Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, who currently serves as the Mayor of Hyderabad and is a member of the BRS, is also set to join the Congress party.
