CM YS Jagan Launches Slew of Development Works

Pulivendula (YSR dist): On the first day of a two-day tour of YSR district, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched and laid  foundation stones for various development works worth Rs.64.54crore here on Thursday. 

The Chief Minister participated in the consecration ritual of the newly built Sri Krishna temple with a cost of Rs. 4.5crore in an extent of four acres at Bhakarapuram Ring Road Circle.

At the temple, priests welcomed the Chief Minister with Purnakumbham.  He had darshan of the presiding deity Sri Krishna and took teerdham before going round the temple. Vedic pandits blessed him by reciting hymns.

The Chief Minister inaugurated the agriculture and horticulture colleges constructed with a cost of Rs. 9.96core on the campus of Andhra Pradesh Center for Advanced Research on Livestock (APCARL). These two colleges will have a strength of 121 students initially.

He also launched the Rs. 11 core worth state of the art Central Testing Laboratory built on the premises of APCARL. It was set up to test adulteration of dairy products and conduct quality control tests on pharmaceutical applications, diagnostic services and bacteria. 

The Chief Minister launched the face-lifting works in the 38-acre Shilparamam which contains a function hall in an extent of 10 acres. It has several specialities including a musical fountain, hill top tower with 16.5 feet tall Dr YSR statue, boating, ropeway and children’s zone.

After inaugurating the hill top tower statue, he had examined the entire premises that provided an enchanting spectacle from the tower. With the Chief Minister going round the attractive Shilparamam, students and folk artistes presented several cultural programmes. He later unveiled the plaque and posed for photographs with officials.

The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for Shri Swaminarayan Gurukul (SSNG) Trust School being built with a cost of Rs. 60 crore in 12 acres of land allotted by the Government. He was extended a warm welcome by the representatives of the Trust. 

The school will be built in two phases with Rs. 25 crore being spent on the first phase. It will have classes from KG to Class 12 with admissions commencing from the 2025 academic year. He also visited the Aditya Birla Group’s greenfield garment manufacturing unit and interacted with the staff.

Deputy Chief Minister Amzad Pasha, District in charge Minister A. Suresh, MP Avinash Reddy, MLA Chevireddy Bhaskara Reddy, Personal Secretary to the Chief Minister Dhanunjaya Reddy, Pulivendula OSD Anil Kumar Reddy and other senior officials also participated in the programmes.
