Boy Kills Girlfriend at Resort  

Hyderabad: A degree girl was found dead with throat slit at a popular resort near Shankarpalli village on Thursday. It is learnt that the girl's boyfriend allegedly killed her suspecting her of infidelity.

The accused, Sai Prasad and Sirisha were in a relationship for some time. Sai became envious when Sirisha started moving close with another youth. The duo would often bicker over this issue. It is learnt that the accused had also warned her to stay away from the other youth.

Suspecting her relation with the other boy, Sai Prasad hatched a plan to kill her. He then called the girl and asked her to meet him at Pragati resort to settle the issue. They both met at the resort and spent sometime in the cottage. Thereafter the duo got into an argument following which, in a fit of rage, Sai allegedly slit her throat and fled the scene.

On learning about the incident, the resort staff tried to keep the matter under wraps, as it would impact the reputation of the resort. However, the police were alerted and reached the spot. They also informed the matter to the girl's parents around 11 pm.

Tthe situation at the resort became tense after the parents reached the spot and demanded the police to arrest the accused immediately. Hours after the murder, the police caught hold of the accused who went absconding after the incident. They registered a case and sent the body for post-mortem.
