Ankita Chaurasia of BollywoodLife.com said the film fails to do justice to the franchise, but it is definitely an Eid treat for Salman Khan's fans. According to the reviewer, fans going to watch the Race franchise film might not "be too pleased with the way it has been treated."

Anita Iyer of Khaleej Times said the film fails to win the race. The action scenes look inspired by several Hollywood films and there is no single nail-biting moment in the action-thriller. "Few minutes in the film are enough to make you cringe as you try to make sense of where the film is heading," Anita added.

Saibal Chatterjee of NDTV said that it is fans that are the receiving end. "The film is too flashy and shallow to pass muster as an addition to a generic tradition that has its admirers the world over - and for good reason," he said.

Ananya Bhattacharya of India Today said that it is out and out a Salman Khan film and nothing else matters. "What is the story of Race 3? There is none," she said.

Sneha May Francis of Masala.com said the film is tough to tolerate. "As the curtain rolls down and a song repeats on loop, you can't help but wonder if the mighty Khan's race to Bollywood glory is slowly fading away," she said.

Manjusha Radhakrishnan of Gulf News said that this Salman-starrer is a doomed adventure. "Race 3 splutters to life in bits and parts, but it's a mammoth let-down," she added.

Zoom TV reviewer said the film is filled with twists and turns and has a lot of positive aspects except for the writing part. "The action sequences are better than any you might have seen in a Salman film, even better than Tiger Zinda Hai," the reviewer said.

Divya Pal of CNNews18 said the film is watchable only because of Salman and Anil and a few action scenes, which have been shot in Thailand, Mumbai and Abu Dhabi.

Nandini Ramnath of Scroll.in said that even Salman Khan fans will find it tough. "Most of the principal cast comprises Salman Khan's loyalists, but this employment guarantee scheme is a mess from the start," she added.

Umesh Punwani of Koimoi.com said the film is super stylish and the director has directed the action sequences in style. "The major setback for the film is its songs. They're too many and break the link," he said.

Hindustan Times reviewer said that Race 3 stays true to the franchise and Salman Khan's presence adds superstardom to it. "Race 3 seems like the entertainer the fans were waiting from Salman Khan since Tiger Zinda Hai," the reviewer said.
