Chandrababu, A Non-Entity Without Narendra Modi: BJP
Visakhapatnam: BJP MLC Somu Veerraju criticised Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's government and said that Chandrababu was a political non-entity without Prime Minister Naredra Modi. On the occasion of the BJP-led government completing four years at the Centre, the state party had arranged Maha Sampark Abhiyan programme here today. The BJP MLC said that the TDP government had backtracked on development in the state.
Veerraju recalled that Venkaiah Naidu had raised the issue of mandals facing problems due to Polavaram project in Rajya Sabha. But TDP's CM Ramesh had obstructed Venkaiah Naidu from speaking on the subject, he said. He said BJP will stand by the promises made and added that Polavaram, railway zone and Kadapa steel plant would be initiated by 2019.

The MLC was surprised as to why Chandrababu did not start Polavaram works in 2014 and asked what he was doing till 2016. He held AP CM responsible for the loss in Polavaram project and said TDP government had misused the funds given by central government. He asked if the loan waivers were provided to farmers. The TDP government was misleading the people and diverting funds for their personal benefits, he alleged.
He questioned the government's intention behind the establishment of ESI hospital in Vijayawada. He said the hospital should be in a place where there are a large number of labourers. Chandrababu was exploiting the outsourcing workers and VROs, he observed and added that the AP CM had threatened the Nayee Brahmin community people when they visited him seeking help.
MLC Veerraju said Chandrababu was to be blamed for non-establishment of Kadapa steel plant. He said the state government did not provide the required reports for the centre to act upon.
